Blissy Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on the device

Blissy and Blissy Remote store settings and state needed to provide their features on the user's device. Blissy may store necessary app preferences, playback state, history, cache information, and sign-in session data.

Blissy Remote may store app language and interface preferences, shortcuts and folders, bookmarks, recently connected Apple TV information, imported shortcut collections and Action Pack settings, and local state needed for playback or automation features.

Apple TV pairing credentials, sensitive website-session backups, and certain user-provided API keys use Apple Keychain or other Apple-provided secure storage mechanisms.

2. Local network and Apple TV

Blissy Remote requests Local Network access to discover, pair with, and control the user's Apple TV. Local-network communication can be used for user-requested remote commands, playback controls, app launching, deep links / URLs, text input, Now Playing, and Blissy companion functionality.

Blissy may also use local-network access for Blissy Remote, local synchronization, and related media or control features. These local-network functions are not used for advertising tracking.

3. Clipboard

While the app is in use, Blissy Remote may check whether the clipboard contains a supported link. Link detection is performed on the device. A detected link is not sent to Apple TV by the automatic workflow unless the user confirms the action or has explicitly enabled automatic clipboard-link sending.

4. Web browsing, sign-in, and third-party services

Blissy Remote contains a built-in web interface powered by WebKit. When a user opens or signs in to a third-party service, network requests are sent directly to that service. Third-party websites may process account and sign-in information, cookies and website sessions, device or network information, search, viewing or interaction history, and other information under their own privacy policies.

Blissy and Blissy Remote can also open, control, or access third-party apps, websites, links, and media services at the user's direction. Data and account history retained by third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Live Translate

Live Translate is optional. The user supplies their own Gemini API key, which is stored in Apple Keychain on the device. Audio required to generate translations is sent to Google Gemini only while the user enables Live Translate. Google's handling of that data is governed by its applicable terms and privacy policy.

6. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current versions do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or SDKs intended for cross-app or cross-website tracking. The Blissy developer does not sell users' personal data or use the apps' local data for cross-service advertising tracking.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data stored in the app sandbox, WebKit website storage, or Keychain remains until the user takes a relevant action such as clearing settings, removing shortcuts or bookmarks, signing out of website sessions, unpairing Apple TV, resetting relevant data, or deleting the app. Data retained by third-party services must be managed using the account and privacy tools provided by those services.
